Simple photo setup
Use indirect daylight or two diffused lamps, a neutral background, a ruler, and a phone or camera that can focus closely. Turn off beauty filters and avoid dramatic shadows.
Required views
- Left side and right side.
- Back, belly, nose, and tail.
- Top and underside of lips or cups.
- Each eye, hook hanger, line tie, stamp, and joint.
- All box sides and labels.
Measurement routine
Record body length without hooks, overall length, maximum width, weight, joint count, number of hooks, and lip dimensions. State whether measurements include hardware.
Name and preserve files
Use a stable inventory number such as VFL-0001 and keep the same number on the lure’s storage tag, box, photo folder, and spreadsheet. Preserve original full-resolution images.
